After taking uncounted design and horticulture classes at College of Marin and Merritt College in Oakland, Cathy started her landscape design business in 2005. Seminars and garden tours sponsored by the Bay Friendly program, San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum, and the Garden Conservancy keep her abrest of current trends. She is an active member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) and is a North Bay District board member.

Recently, she took a two-week garden tour of Italy with the APLD. Out of that she developed a slide show based on that tour which traces the history of Italian garden design and shows ways to bring Italy home to your garden. Click here for more information or to schedule a showing for your event.

Cathy's first career was as a Park Ranger in various National Parks and on the Mt. Tamalpais watershed for the Marin Municipal Water District.
